Parish Partnership Initiative
An opportunity to explore our spirituality in the context of faith and lived experience
St. Mary’s Haddington Road and St. Mary’s Star of the Sea parishes are collaborating to introduce a new discussion group about our faith via Zoom. Because this series of discussions is designed around a synodal process of shared listening, the Zoom group is limited to 10 people. This smaller size ensures that every participant has an equal opportunity to contribute to the conversation. A series of three discussion sessions will be held on 2nd July, 6th August and 3rd September.
Prior to each discussion group meeting, which will be facilitated by Des Moore, participants will be asked to view a YouTube video segment of approximately 30 minutes duration. The discussion will focus on sharing our views about the content of the video in the context of our faith and lived experience in contemporary Ireland.
The videos will feature world renowned experts in Spirituality. Links to the video for discussion will sent by email to people, who have registered their interest to participate, the week before the discussion group meeting so as to be well acquainted with the video content prior to the meeting. If you would like to become part of our discussion group or have any questions about the sessions please contact Des by email at: DM@Mail.StMarysHaddingtonRoad.ie or by TEXT message at 085 2124880.
The first session is scheduled to take place on 2nd July at 7PM and will focus on the Religious Education Congress 2019 address by Fr Ronald Rolheiser on the subject of “Speaking Prophetically for Justice – Principles for Christian Prophecy”
It is hoped to discuss video content from talks by the following:
Fr. Ronald Rolheiser
Fr. Richard Rohr
during the series of meetings.
A link to the video for discussion on 25th June will be posted on this web page.
