Lenten Reflections

This is the third in a series of reflections for Lent by the well known Benedictine spiritual writer and speaker Fr. Lawrence Freeman.

Fr Freeman makes the link between Christianity and other religious traditions in a way that is well suited to our modern world, inviting us to step out from the hectic flow of life into a more mindful state that brings us to communion with God. The great Jesuit theologian Karl Rahner wrote:“In the days ahead, you will either be a mystic (one who has experienced God for real) or nothing at all.”

These Lenten days are an invitation to develop this side of our live. In the parish we are offering our Saturday night Nightfever-Step Out time where the 7 minute talks will lead in to prayer and meditation or they will be available here on our website to be listened to at any time.
